GTI® PVD
GTI Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD) are advanced ground improvement solutions designed to accelerate soil consolidation in soft, water-saturated soils such as peat, clay, and silty clays. Each PVD strip consists of a high-strength polypropylene core wrapped with a nonwoven geotextile filter, which is ultrasonically welded at the edges. This design ensures maximum water flow on both sides while preventing clogging by soil particles.
By expediting water drainage from compressible soils, PVD significantly reduces settlement time, enhances soil stability, and minimizes risks of liquefaction in infrastructure projects.
